Assaying
We use established fire assay methods perfected over the centuries together with the latest technology to achieve the most accurate assaying results. As part of our established assaying methods we conduct preliminarily testing on all materials with an X-Ray fluorescence spectrometer to assess the sample and determine the most appropriate method of assaying. Our team has several decades of combined experience in the industry, our laboratory manager has established and managed a NATA accredited laboratory which complied with the Australian Standards.
Our laboratory complies with the following Australian Standards:
- AS 3515.1:2019 Gold and gold bearing alloys Determination of gold content (less than 30%) – Gravimetric (fire assay) method.
- AS 3515.2:2019 Gold and gold bearing alloys Determination of gold content (30 % to 99.5 %) – Gravimetric (fire assay) method.
- AS 3515.4-2007 (R2018) Gold and gold bearing alloys Determination of gold content (greater than 99.95 percent) – Inductively coupled plasma – Atomic emission spectrometry.
